A Little More About Ron

Ron has played violin and sang in many concert and entertainment situations, including some of the nicest luxury hotels, festivals, restaurants, and private establishments in France; like Paris, or on the Cote D’Azur, as in Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, Cagnes sur Mer, Villeneuve Loubet, Nice, Beaulieu sur Mer, : and in Provence Vaucluse, as in Avignon, Mouriés, Maussane Les Alpilles, Graveson, Saint Rèmy de provence, Gordes, L’Isle sur la Sorgue, La Roque d’Anthéron, Mènerbes, Marseille,  Fontvieille, Nîmes, Beziers…….in London, England, and Barcelona, Spain…. And in Canada, all around the Toronto, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, London, Barrie, Kitchener regions and east coast Halifax, and west coast Vancouver. This list could continue and become much longer, but you get the idea hopefully.

When first starting to play professionally, before concentrating in jazz, classical and other musical forms, Ron played the country bar circuit in southern Ontario, Canada, which seemed to be the first logical step considering his country fiddle roots from his grandfather.

After studying jazz with Gary Benson and before him, Dick Felix, in Toronto, he decided that to continue his progress in other musical styles as in jazz, classical and tzigane etc., he should also continue to develop his violin technique. So in 2001 he again started to study classical violin, first with Jacques Sansky in Nice(42 years with the Nice opera) and while living in Paris, studied 4 years with Eric Alberti(former violin soloist from Paris opera, who studied with none other than Yehudi Menuhin). Also at this time he studied with the great Hungarian Tzigane violinist Joseph Pesci(conservatory of Budapest) who had been living outside Toronto after retiring from his world tours.

His voice training included studying music(and business) at the University of Waterloo, and opera singers Edward Johnson and more recently, Price King Ron was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada but after 7 years old, grew up  in a village called Jerseyville, outside of Ancaster, Ontario.

Another interesting note is that Ron achieved an international ranking in squash before injury stopped his continuation.
